RIP Andy Gabrielson

I've had a few hours to ball by eyes out, scream, all that stuff. Andy was sitting right where I sit typing this just 2 hours before the accident. Yelling at my cat and complaining about Oklahoma drivers. He came by to sell me his Sony FX1000 before heading up to Pittsburg, KS to hang with good friends Tyler Costantini and Dick McGowan. He drove down from MN to chase 2 awful chase days. That's classic Andy. If there was any chance at a tornado, day or night, backyard or 2500 miles away, he was there. Hell, he forced me to drive to TX 5 out of 6 Mondays in December and January for some slight risks and even a 'see text' day. We chased over 5k miles December and January, and those were some of the funnest chases and all-night drives of my life. Blasting gangster rap with the windows down at a gas station in the middle of no where, yelling obscenities at every weak shower for not having what it takes to produce tornadoes. Constantly questioning why we were chasing hahahaha "what the hell are we doing here?" but he would always go back to his chase philosophy, "if you don't chase, you don't see tornadoes". He was a hell of a guy, a great friend, and an amazing storm chaser. That's all I can say for now, I'll probably do a video blog tomorrow and talk some more about chasing with Andy, help you get to know him better.

Also, I appreciate the support from the chaser/facebook community. Andy had a lot of fans, we were all fans. Keep his family in your prayers.
